About Me

Alana Wylie Owner

Hi there, I’m Alana

I’m an organizer and I have adhd myself!

It’s not a contradiction: I learned to get organized as a way to lessen the impact of adhd on my life.

My mission is to give everyone, especially those with adhd the chance to put their homes in order with ADHD-friendly methods so we all can lead more satisfying and peaceful lives.

Living with ADHD is hard. But we can make it easier with our homes set up for our success.

MY STORY

I never imagined I’d grow up and become a professional organizer.

I was the messiest, most forgetful kid around!

By the time I was married and the kids were small, I was drowning in clutter and lack of routine. Or we were, I should say. The whole house was overwhelmed. One night, surfing and searching the web, I found Flylady.

Gradually, I learned how to run a home. I read books by Joshua Becker, James Clear, Susan Pinsky and lots more. To keep it interesting and fun, I joined in every on-line organizing and decluttering challenge I could find.

Seeing my results, a relative asked me for help. Her house was cluttered, crowded with stuff and hard to live in. As we decluttered and organized her home, we created a

comfortable, calming environment that brings her joy every day. The journey was transformative for both of us. Decorating (my secret love) as we finished each room was icing on the cake.

Other breadcrumbs along this path to becoming a professional organizer included a habits based health and fitness program, personal coaching, my adhd diagnoses (at age 58!) and classes in coach training.

As a result, I can work alongside you to declutter and organize without overwhelm, losing motivation or stalling out. I can help you create a home that brings you joy.

No Judgement

Clutter and disorganization exist along a continuum and I’ve been in homes from one end to the other. Our houses get out of control for lots of reasons. It happens to all of us at one time or another. There is no judgement. The state of our homes is not a moral issue.

Teamwork

Life is better together. Recognizing we bring different strengths and perspectives, we work together to set goals, break down tasks into small bites and stay in communication throughout the process  (while maintaining healthy boundaries).
